欢迎回来, #7! Lorenzo Brown returns to Grand Rapids Drive after stint in China

Lorenzo Brown is coming back to Beer City, USA.

Brown will be joining the Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA D-League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, as the team has reacquired his returning player rights. Brown returns to the States after spending the first half of the D-League season playing in China for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Brown, 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, has four separate NBA Call-Ups with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons and has played in 63 NBA games throughout his career. Selected in the second round (52nd overall) by the Timberwolves in the 2013 Draft, Brown averaged 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the NBA.

In his previous time with the Drive, Brown averaged 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while being named to the 2016 NBADL All-Star Game.

Adding Brown to an already stacked Grand Rapids backcourt of Ray McCallum, Jordan Crawford and Kevin Murphy gives coach Rex Walters a plethora of scoring punch and ball handling as the D-League playoff race gets tight. The move comes one day after the Drive traded forward Nik Jovanovic to the Westchester Knicks for a 2017 NBADL 2nd round draft pick.

The NC State product will be in uniform for Grand Rapids tonight as they head to Chicago to take on the Windy City Bulls.
