Scott Brown put home a goal in the 47th minute and Celtic FC left Dens Park with another three points in the Scottish Premiership League on Saturday.
Hoops goalkeeper Craig Gordon was barely challenged by the struggling Dark Blues squad as The Bhoys pushed forward with an aggressive mindset coming off their 3-3 home draw with Manchester City in UEFA Champions League this past Wednesday.
After a stalemate first half, Brown curled a left-footed ball past Dundee keeper Scott Bain just two minutes into the second half. The Celtic side would take charge the rest of the way, although only Sinclair’s shot in the 68th minute showed any promise.
Jozo Simunovic replaced Kolo Toure in the starting lineup for boss Brendan Rodgers, and Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Stuart Armstrong were substitutes for Tomas Rogic, James Forrest and Scott Sinclair, respectively, late in the second half.
Celtic now has 19 points through 7 matches, leading the Ladbrokes’ League by 4 points over Aberdeen, while Dundee now has only 6 points through 8 matches. The Bhoys prepare for a Saturday matchup with Motherwell(9 points) in the friendly confines of Parkhead.
