Drive add Paul Williams before final game

The Grand Rapids Drive announced today that the team has acquired Paul Williams from the available player pool.

Williams is a 6’4″, 212-lb. shooting guard who was born in Detroit, MI. He played four years of college basketball at the University of Dayton, where he averaged 6.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 137 games, starting 74.

He went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft and became an unrestricted free agent. Williams then spent 2012-13 with Fjolnir in the Dominos League and 2013-14 with Windsor Express of the NBL.

The Drive selected Williams in the 5th round with pick 7 in the 2015 annual NBA D-League Draft.

To make room on the roster,  the team has released Dallin Bachynski due to season ending injury.
