Drive lose as seven Sevens score in double figures

The Grand Rapids Drive lost for the second time this weekend on Sunday, losing 118-100 to the Delaware 87ers.

Shawn Long led the way for the Sevens with 20 points and 15 rebounds and James Webb III and Cat Barber scored 19 points each, leading seven of the Sevens in double-digit scoring.

Kevin Murphy, Jordan Crawford and Ray McCallum again led the Drive’s efforts, but it wasn’t enough to get Grand Rapids (4-5) back over the .500 mark.

Grand Rapids returns home to the DeltaPlex Arena on Wednesday night to host the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the NBADL affiliate of the Miami Heat. Current Heat players Tyler Johnson and Rodney MacGruder have previously played for the Skyforce in Grand Rapids.
