Drive's Gary Forbes, Ralston Turner taken in NBADL Expansion Draft

Today in New York, the NBA D-League held an expansion draft to fill the rosters of the Long Island Nets, the Windy City Bulls and the Greensboro Swarm with potential players for their inaugural seasons in 2016-17.

Each team obtained the rights to 12 players (no more than two total from any one team), each of who was eligible to be drafted from the available player pool of 2014-15 and 2015-16 D-League rosters. Each team not drafting was able to protect 10 players from the expansion list.

Gary Forbes, a 6-foot-7 small forward, played at the University of Virginia and UMass. He played in 3 games with the Grand Rapids Drive last season, averaging 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Ralston Turner is a 6-foot-6 guard from North Carolina State. He arrived mid-season to Grand Rapids and averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 17.1 minutes over 21 games.

Former Detroit Pistons draft pick Peyton Siva(2013 Round 2, 56 overall) was selected by the Long Island Nets with their 5th round pick off the Delaware 87ers roster.
