With Detroit Pistons’ assignees Henry Ellenson and Michael Gbinije in their D-League uniforms, the Grand Rapids Drive ended their five-game losing streak on Wednesday night as they defeated the Windy City Bulls, 121-91.
Ellenson put in 18 points and Gbinije added 16 of his own, including four three-pointers as a total of six Drive players scored in double figures. Jordan Crawford returned from an injury to score 20 points off the bench and Kevin Murphy (18 points), Ray McCallum (18) and Chris Horton (17) helped grasp the 30-point victory over their newest regional rival. The Bulls’ 91 points were the lowest the Drive have allowed all season.
