Red Wings sign Lorito, Street and Pasquale for 2016-17

The Detroit Red Wings agreed to terms on a two-year contract with free agent forward Matt Lorito and to a pair of one-year deals with forward Ben Street and goaltender Edward Pasquale. All three should see time with the Grand Rapids Griffins this upcoming season.

Lorito, 25, completed his first full professional season in 2015-16 with the AHL’s Albany Devils.

The 29-year-old Street has appeared in 293 career AHL games and 29 NHL contests. During the 2015-16 season, he compiled 21 points (7-14—21) in 15 games while serving as captain of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage and logged a seven-game stint with the Colorado Avalanche.


Pasquale, 25, split the 2015-16 season between St. John’s (AHL) and Brampton (ECHL). In 30 games with the AHL’s IceCaps, the Toronto, native compiled a 13-10-3 record, a 2.62 goals against average, and a 0.919 save percentage.
