Rogic scores, Celtic continues hot streak against feisty Aberdeen

Tomas Rogic netted a beautiful goal in the 23rd minute and Celtic held possession to build a Scottish League lead of ten points with a game in hand over with their 1-0 win over second-place Aberdeen earlier today.

The quick one-two right-to-left foot maneuver by Rogic off a Michael Lustig cross sailed past the Aberdeen keeper at Pittodrie.

It was back to “normal” on the Celtic side, as only Stuart Armstrong and Emilio Izaguirre were held over from the eight substitutes on Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers’ score sheet  vs. Ross County this past Wednesday. With Kieran Tierney out of action for two months after suffering an ankle injury in practice, Izaguirre will see more chances to start as the left backer.

Aberdeen captain and BeerCityHoopsFC favorite rival, Ryan Jack, got his first start in ten weeks following knee surgery.

A late dust-up between Celtic captain Scott Brown and Aberdeen’s Graeme Shinnie brought yellow card bookings for both as the match was a bit testy on the field, if not in the stands as well.
