Six players in double-figures not enough for Danger in loss to Windy City

The Grand Rapids Danger had six players score at least 10 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Windy City Groove had five of their own in double-digits in a 117-96 win in Chicago on Sunday afternoon.

Jamel Hatchett led the Danger with 18 points and Terrence Shaw (16), Derek Brooks (14), Jance Payne (13), Bradley Whitby (12) and Alex Mustert (12) all scored in double-digits but Grand Rapids couldn’t handle the aggressive pace of the Groove.

Adonis Bailey scored 20 points and Nate Fuqua added 19 of his own for the Groove, who also saw Rob Patten Jr. (18), Derrick McDonald (17) and Jeremy Scaffold (16) reach double figures.

The Danger return home to Grace Bible College on Sunday, January 22 at 4pm for a matchup with Detroit’s Team Network.
