Whitecaps sending 3 players, coaching staff to All-Star game

When the 2016 Midwest League All-Star Classic takes place at Perfect Game Field in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Tuesday, June 21, the West Michigan Whitecaps will send three players and their coaching staff .

Pitcher Matt Hall holds a league-leading 7-0 record with a 0.65 ERA over 55.1 innings, allowing just 36 hits and striking out 63 batters already this summer.

Kyle Dowdy has gone 2-1 with a 2.52 ERA through 11 appearances and four starts after joining the Whitecaps on April 18 and coming out of the bullpen.

West Michigan Whitecaps

Will Maddox(right) is a 23-year-old from Gainesville, Georgia and one of the top hitters in the Midwest League this season with a .340 batting average, 13 extra-base hits, 18 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

The Whitecaps coaching staff includes manager Andrew Graham, pitching coach Mark Johnson and hitting coach Edgar Alfonzo.
