The Grand Rapids Drive fought hard but weren’t able to complete a fourth-quarter comeback in a 119-118 loss to the expansion Windy City Bulls Friday night at the DeltaPlex Arena in the two teams’ first ever meeting.
Grand Rapids trailed throughout the game but pulled within two points in the final ten seconds. They failed to convert and turned the ball over, sealing the win for the Bulls.
Aaron Thomas led Windy City with 30 points and former Detroit Pistons guard Spencer Dinwiddie added 25 points on th night.
Jordan Crawford scored 30 points for the Drive. Ray McCallum added 29 points and seven assists. Kevin Murphy scored 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss.
